NAIRA MARLEY BIOGRAPHY
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Naira Marley was born on the 9th of May, 1994 in Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria. At the age of 11, he moved to Peckham south London, England.
According to info, Naira Marley attended Porlock Hall and later enrolled at Warworth school where he had his high school education.
He had his tertiary institution education in Peckham, where he got a distinction in business from Peckham Academy. He also studied Business law at Crossways College which is now known as Christ The King Sixth Form College.
Naira Marley grew up in Peckham with his siblings namely, Marian, Babatunde and Idris Fashola. All grew up in the UK. This is all I have concerning His early life, upbringing and education. We now move to his music career.
MUSIC CAREER
Well, Naira Marley started out in 2014 and at first, had the intention of becoming an MC and a voice cover artist. With advice and encouragement from friends, he finally decided to go into music. And in 2014, he and his friends released the single Marry Juana.
In 2015, Naira Marley released his debut studio EP titled Gotta Dance. He didn't got that widespread recognition until 2017, when he released the popular football song, Issa Goal ft Olamide and Lil Kesh which was used as the Nigerian Super Eagles theme song at the 2018 FIFA world cup. The song also had a remix with Olamide, Lil Kesh, Falz, Simi and Slimcase.
Naira Marley went on to release other hit tracks, some featuring his record label signees and some as a single featuring no one. He released popular tracks like Puta, Soapy, Tesumole, Chi Chi, First Time In America, Anywhere and more. Most of his songs where considered controversial and a bad influence to teenagers/youths.
He does Afrobeat, Afro Pop, Street Pop and a little bit of rap. He uses the Yoruba, Pidgin and English language in his songs. His songs soapy also earned him an award for viewers choice at the 2020 Sound City MVP Awards.
On the 18th of December 2019, Naira Marley released his second studio EP titled Lord Of Lamba. On December 30th 2019, During the Marlians Fest which was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites Lagos Nigeria, Naira Marley launched his record label which he named Marlians Records and Introduced Zinoleesky, Mohbad, Fabian Blu and Cblack as record label signees under the imprint. Naira Marley has many controversies to his name. I will list some and I will drop a Wikipedia link to read all of his most popular controversies.
1. EFCC arrested him and Zlatan once for several Fraud allegations against him. He was charged to court but was later released after being granted a 2,000,000 million Naira bail.
2. Another popular Controversy of his, is the lockdown order flaunting put down by the Nigerian government to contain and control the spread of the Corona virus. On the 13th of June 2020, he had performed at a concert in Abuja and was arrested and arraigned before a mobile court by the FCT Abuja police.

FAMILY MEMBERS
Not much is known on the parents of Naira Marley, but I have little info on his siblings. Naira Marley's sister Mariam Fashola is a model and Instagram star. His brother, Babatunde Moshood popularly known as Shuddy Fundz, is an entertainer and a talent manager. The two look alike (Naira and Babatunde), which makes people think they are twins. His other brother is called Idris, well known as Marley Jr.
