Daniel Benson Popularly known by his stage name BNXN (stylised way of saying Benson) and formerly known as Buju, is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, rapper, songwriter and performer. More post about BNXN below.
BNXN BIOGRAPHY
EARLY LIFE
Daniel Benson was born on the 14th of May, 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria. He hails from Akwa Ibom state, (Southern) Nigeria. He grew up living with his mother in Gbagada before relocating to Mowe, Ogun state, Nigeria.
Not much info is known about BNXN' education from primary to secondary to tertiary education. I will try and update the post as time goes on. However, sources say he attended the best institutions in Lagos and other places he grew up. He also graduated from Babcock University in Ogun state. That's all we know concerning his early life and education. We now go to his music career.
BNXN MUSIC CAREER
BNXN started music while he was in junior secondary school. He was formerly called Drizzle but later changed the name to Buju (Which means "Chubby Youngster" in Jamaican). He later changed his name again from Buju to BNXN After learning that a Jamaican musician goes by the name Buju Banton.
He became more popular in university, when he did short songs and performed in certain events. The youngster did a couple of works before becoming famous and coming into the limelight. He rose to fane after releasing the remix of his hit song, Spiritual with Zlatan Ibile.
His first track released was Catch a Vibe which was released in February, 2018. He also released a second track titled A day in Lagos and other works which brought him more recognition. But, he became popular After releasing the remix of the song Spiritual with Zlatan Ibile.
In 2020, he got a record label deal with Burna Boy's Spaceship Records. He even did a song remix with Burna Boy titled L'enu. In 2021, the contract deal expired and he (BNXN) formed his Record label called To Your Ears Entertainment.
He released his first EP, Sorry I'm Late on the 27th of October 2021, under his record label, featured on songs with other artistes like Ladipoe's Feeling, Wizkid's Song Mood, Zlatan Ibile's Alubarika and others.

– He won the Best African rapper or lyricist for his feature on Ladipoe's song feeling at the 2021 AFRIMMA awards.
– He won the promising artiste award for his song outside at the 2021 AFRIMMA awards.
– He won the Best artiste duo or group in African Hip Hop category for his feature on Blaqbonez's song Bling at the 2021 AFRIMMA awards.
– BNXN won the next rated/best rap single category for his feature on Ladipoe's song feeling at the 2022 Headies awards.
– He also won the Soundcity MVP awards for best collab on the song Finesse in 2023.

Buju is said to have an estimated net worth of about $200,000-$400,000, not much is known about his other properties like houses, cars and others.

You can sense Afrobeat and Afrofusion in Buju's song. He sometimes add a little bit of rapping (much slow though) in his songs.
